How would you like to have a machine that could make anything you want to,well this is now possible through the magic of 3D printers and while you might not yet see a 3D printer sitting alongside your toaster or your TV at home you will start to see them more and more in places like schools , shops , hospitals and many other places but what is 3D printer and how does 3D printing allow us to make almost anything from nothing. Well, first we need to take a step back and see how we normally make stuff from 3d printer. Basically there are four ways we make things the first way is called SUBTRACTIVE MANUFACTURING.

SUBTRACTIVE MANUFACTURING:

In subtractive manufacturing we take a lump of material like wood or metal or stone and we cut away some parts of it to make the thing we want , so we remove or subtract the material we don't need to create model, just like we do in math, also like carving a wooden chair from a tree or making a statue from stone .

FORMING:

Second way of making stuff is called forming,here we take a block of material and we apply a force to change it shape, like a formed object is Wallace and gobbit made by shaping or forming plasticine.

CASTING:

This is where you take a solid material you make it into a liquid and you pour it into a mold and a nice example would be when we make chocolate bunnies by pouring chocolates in jar .

Now we will talk about the fourth method which is the main attraction of this article,

ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING:

In this we have nothing to begin with,you take your material and you add it exactly where you want it until you have your final object . 3D printing is one type of additive manufacturing and it involves making an object by adding material one tiny layer at a time.

Additive manufacturing is basically a process that creates dimensional objects by depositing materials in layer by layer process. 3d printing is just an industrial name for the additive manufacturing.

First 3D printed Cycle "SUPER STRATA"

This is the world's first 3D printed unibody carbon bicycle with more and more accessibility of the technology, 3D printing is slowly taking over the materials market industry by industry. Earlier, we have seen the use of 3D printing to combat the Novel Coronavirus. Now a brand new company has launched the "world's first" 3D printed unibody carbon fiber bicycle.
You may not be aware of this lesser-known startup, Arevo, but the company does make use of the 3D printing technology quite well,Co-founded by an Indian entrepreneur, Hemant Bheda, the company makes "ultrastrong, lightweight continuous carbon fiber products on-demand" as per the requirements. Now,coming to that, here, the emphasis is not on the world's first 3D printed bicycle. There are a lot of high-end bicycles that have multiple 3D printed parts.However, there aren't any bicycle whose entire frame is made from a single piece of material, in this case, carbon fiber.That is why the emphasis is on the world's first 3D printed UNIBODY carbon fiber bicycle.

So, unlike other lightweight and ultrastrong bikes that have some parts made from carbon fiber, Arevo's two new bikes under a new brand name, Superstrata, will be 3D printed from a single piece of carbon fiber.As a result, there will be no signs of any welding or joints on the bikes. Additionally, the Superstrata bikes will be ultra-light. The company claims that they will be as light as two water bottles! “So there’s no glue, no joins, no bolts, no laser welds, none of that stuff thatis totally dependable.”, said Sonny VU, the CEO of Avero and now, Superstrata.

Superstrata Terra & Superstrata Ion e-Bike

Now, the brand new company has unveiled two models of Superstrata bikes -- the lower end, Superstrata Terra and the higher end, Superstrata Ion e-bike. So, the lower-end Terra is an analog bicycle, while the higher-end Ion is an e-bike that runs on a 252KWH battery .

According to the spec sheet, the Superstrata Ion e-bike has a 250W rear-motor setup that can give the bike a 60-miles range on a single charge.

Now, a unique feature that the manufacturing process of the company allows is that they can custom build a Superstrata bike for individuals measuring from 4'7" to 7'4".The project is not complete yet and is currently a work-in-progress. However, the company is running an Indiegogo campaign to raise funds to make the project a reality soon. It has already raised over $1.1 million and you can get a pretty good deal for the Superstrata bikes.Now, the actual prices of the Superstrata Ion e-bike and the Terra are $3,999 (~Rs 3,01,185) and $2,799 (~Rs2,10,810) respectively. However, you can get them for as low as $1,799 (~Rs 1,35,490) and $1,299 (~Rs 97,835) if you pre-book from the Indiegogo campaign right now.

Instagram testing a new feature called "fundraisers". If you explore the FACEBOOK you already know that FB introduce that feature for the users to raise fund for non-profit and personal cause.now Instagram also investing to introduce this new feature to their users .Fundraising is basically an event or campaign whose purpose is to raise the one for charitable event , cause and for non -profitable organization.Fundraising are always present in our society but in the evaluating world of technology this feature is available in online world too for raising the funds for those who can't afford and channelize the things on their own back.fundraising helps the NGO's , charitable trust and in the environmental crises. Testing is a process that initiates for the new feature , new perks and sometimes new user interface if the response is quit good then the changes updated to permanent feature of that application or software.now we will see hoe Instagram testing its new feature .

How Instagram testing the feature

Instagram has started testing a new feature that lets users run fundraisers to support personal cause . the test is currently live in the US , UK and IRELAND regions and if become effective they surely expand this feature in other regions too. As similar feature live on Facebook as we already talked about it. Company wrote in the blog post that "they are starting a new way to raise money on Instagram for a personal cause , like yourself , your small business , charitable cause or for non-profitable organizations.if the testing result appeared as good as others then it will be applied in running conditions and this facility will reach out to other regions too.

who can use the feature ?

If you're in regions where this feature Instagram supports you can create a personal fundraiser by tapping on Edit Profile in you Instagram profile. You will see an option titled "Add Fundraiser". Tap on that and choose "Raise Money". You can set an image as per you priority and category for your fundraisers available on Instagram are crises relief , community projects and groups , education, faith , family hobbies , medical , memorial and loss ,personal emergency , pets and animals , sports and competitions , travel and volunteering.

how many days it lasts for ?

Now, question arises for how many days it raised so ,each Fundraiser on Instagram lasts for 30 days.However , the company will offer an option to extend them as many times as you want . That said , you will have to be at least 18 years old to create one.According to Facebook, more than $65 million funds have been raised so far by people for COVID-19 and racial justice across Instagram and Facebook . The company notices that donations on Instagram have doubled in US over the past month .

It is worth noting that the raised money may be taxable and 2.60% + USD of each donation will cover processing fees. apart from this , the company offers a donation sticker that non profits can use in stories . Instagram also added a donation feature for Instagram live videos this April in selected regions.the other fund raising donation fees are different for different regions and the fundraiser the days fundraiser last an also be updated.

here , we will conclude that pandemic caused an increase in the amount of funding campaigns for affected corona-virus causes , and other differently affected people . now Instagram takes a step out in accordance to this of raising funds. Mass number of peoples loss their lives and some of them have to suffer from the dying from hunger so here the fundraising initiative by Instagram helps these human beings too and who are eligible to help others they can raise fund for the non-profitable organizations as well.We also know that in 2020 instagram becomes most used social media platform by 155,430,000 activre users which approx 11.2%of our entire population so by using this feature we can raise funds for our natural disaster causes too. this feature is on testing now , hope it will soon expand in other regions too so that people can help each other and grow together.
